Really GREAT Books!

As a childrens librarian I have the joy of discovering, enjoying and recommending what is special in childrens books.

My new favorite right now:

a sweet bedtime story by Anna Dewdney

Llama, Llama Red Pajama , a cute tale in rhyme

about an insecure little llama who misses his mama.

A Funny thing happened the other day...

Storytime at the library last week was a unit on farms. I pointed to different animals and then chose a child to tell me what sound that animal made. I asked one child, "What does a cow say?" "MOO! " she replied. I asked another, "What does a pig say?"OINK!" he snorted. I then asked this sweet little girl in pigtails, "What does a duck say?" She promptly shouted "AFLAC". I think this one watches the commercials!

Ideas for fun
